Veligandu Island
Overview
Veligandu Island sits in North Ari Atoll and is one of the classic long-standing resorts in the Crown & Champa Resorts collection. The island is approximately 600 meters long and 150 meters wide, with soft white beaches, clear lagoon water, and a natural sandbank feel. Its mid-sized layout suits guests who want a quiet island atmosphere without giving up comfort and facilities.
The resort reopened in November 2024 after renovation, with refreshed villas, dining venues, and public areas. Its 100 villas range from beach villas and Jacuzzi beach or overwater villas to sunset ocean pool villas and two-bedroom ocean pool villas, covering couples, honeymooners, and small families.
Dining and activities are well-rounded for a classic Maldives island. Dhonveli serves buffet meals with live cooking, Madivaru Silk focuses on Asian flavours, Madivaru Teppanyaki offers a show-style teppanyaki experience, while Thundi Bar, Raalhu Bar, and the Champagne Pavilion cover poolside, sunset, and more intimate drink settings. Spa, water sports, diving, cruises, fishing, and a kids club help guests keep the holiday relaxed or active.
